Letting Go Of The Bitterness And Pain

keywords used – prayer for forgiveness, prayer for guidance

According to Ephesians 4:31, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.” This means that God wants us to let go of our pain and bitterness. Life is not an easy road to take. There will be times when people will hurt you despite of being good to them.

Human as they are, they’ve been hurt as well. However, being the one who has been hurt, it is not easy to let go of the pain and bitterness even though you always utter a prayer for forgiveness and a prayer for guidance every single day.

If the wound is so deep, time can only tell as to when you can forgive. It is also hard to forget someone who has hurt you so much despite of everything you have done and sacrificed for them. But God knows your heart. He knows your hurt, pain and suffering. The only thing you need to do is forgive the one who has hurt you and move on. At the same time, it is also best to forgive yourself for what has happened. Remind yourself every day that you are human and you are bound to make mistakes. As long as you do your best to prevent yourself from committing such mistakes in the future, you are good to go. Also, never forget the power of prayers. As often as you can, say a prayer for guidance and a prayer for forgiveness so that the Lord will grant your heart with peace and love.

Why Let Go Of Your Pain And Bitterness

Ask anybody about letting go, they will surely tell you that it is not an easy thing to do specifically if you have put your whole heart into something or someone. However, God wants you to let go of the pain and bitterness because He loves you. You deserve to live a life full of love, happiness, peace of mind and joy. If you hold on to that anger and pain, it will be hard for you to find real peace and happiness. As the son of God, you should learn to forgive others even if they don’t deserve it in the first place. According to Matthew 6:14, “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

Utter a prayer for forgiveness so that God will help you heal the wounds of yesterday. Forgiveness is a tough road to take, but with God, you can do anything. As you take this road, never forget to utter a prayer for guidance so that He will be the one to guide you along the way. If you love God and yourself, you will be able to forgive and let go of your bitterness and pain.#
