Can God Forgive Me?

1

“Can God forgive me?” A lot of people would ask the same question. It is because they are not certain as to whether God can forgive them after what they have done. Human as we are, we are sometimes dominated by our guilt feelings that we tend to utter a prayer for forgiveness to God for committing a sinful act. There are times when people still feel the guilt even if they have already asked God for forgiveness. You are probably wondering if He can forgive your sins. The truth is, God is always willing to forgive us, even if we decide to reject Him.

According to Isaiah 43:25, “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” Needless to say, God has a very merciful heart and He is willing to forgive our trespasses. With this, it is right to offer praise and worship prayers to the Lord for His loving, merciful nature. He could have freed Himself of our sinful, disobedient nature. However, He still choose not to destroy us. As humans, it is in our nature to commit mistakes or sins because we are not perfect. We have our own weaknesses. However, it should be remembered that God is only willing to forgive His people if they have an honest heart when repenting.

Forgiveness Is A Beautiful Gift

Whenever you utter praise and worship prayers to the Lord, never forget to ask for forgiveness on a daily basis because people tend to sin every single day no matter how much they try to live a life that is pleasing to God. Remember that forgiveness is a beautiful gift from the Lord. With His forgiveness, He allows us to see how wonderful and merciful He is. Whenever we repent for our sins with an honest heart, He has the heart to forgive us even if we don’t deserve it in the first place. Needless to say, the Lord is worthy of our praise. He is a true loving, compassionate God who is always there for us.

It is not always easy to live a sin-free life. There will always come a time when being human rules. With this, you tend to forget how God has forgiven your past sins, that is why you have done wrong again. People should realize that repentance is not just about accepting your past mistakes and feeling regretful about them. It is also about your commitment toward personal change and a more responsible life.

Whenever possible, utter a prayer for forgiveness to God. The Lord is always willing to forgive as long as we are ready to accept Him in our lives. Once you have accepted Him, always remember what repentance really is.
